£2.4 MILLION DONATED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARITIES
Avon is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of UN’s 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, to draw attention to the unspoken violence devastating women’s lives. #EmbraceTheChange is a global campaign that will shine a light on the different forms of non-violent abuse experienced by women around the world, including digital abuse, coercive control and emotional abuse.
From 23rd November – 13th December, we're donating 50% of proceeds from the True Colour Pro+ Nail Enamel in Arctic Steel, Domestic Violence Infinity Loop Bracelet and the T By Tabitha Webb Pin to Women’s Aid and Refuge, split 50/50. Show your support by purchasing the products below.
I had an abusive partner who tried to kill me and went on to kill himself but, the non-physical signs that something wasn’t right were there from the beginning. Violence isn’t just a hit, punch or slap.
I suffered in silence for a decade, surviving both physical and emotional abuse from the age of 19. It was my first relationship, and looking back I honestly thought this is how relationships should be.
Violence against women isn’t always visible on the skin.
For every share of Gemma’s story during 16 Days of Activism, AVON will donate £1 to its charity partners Women’s Aid and Refuge.
Watch Gemma share her story and share using #EmbraceTheChange.
THE AVON PROMISE
We believe in a world where women and girls can live a life free from violence and abuse. One in four women will be a victim of violence in her lifetime1. On average two women are killed every week by a current or ex-partner2. At AVON, we see every woman as a person – not just as a statistic – and each instance of violence is one too many.
The paths that lead to these crimes often start at home and within relationships that should be sanctuaries of trust and love.
