We're all gearing up for our Christmas party look but ladies also need to think about the beauty essentials they will need the morning after the big night.

First of all, women need to ensure they take their make-up off before going to bed, so cleansing wipes are the ideal alternative to cleanser, toner and moisturiser, according to the Chester Chronicle.

Puffy eyes are a tell-tale sign of not having had enough sleep, but these can be dealt with using a brightening eye cream.

"Restore tired peepers to a sparkling state with an optical light diffusing under-eye cream that reduces puffiness and disguises dark circles," the newspaper recommended.

Melanie Knock, Best Western spa manager also shared her tips with the publication, suggesting that women use a tinted moisturiser to all skin to breathe and avoid getting dehydrated.

Andrew Gallimore recently told The Sunday Times' Style magazine that women should avoid wearing too much make-up to the Christmas party, as many overdo it.
