   Musicians to go head-to-head for fashion accolade
   
 

Rapper Jay-Z is hoping to go home with an award following the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in January.

The musician's Rocawear label will face competition from Linkin Park member Chester Bennington's Ve'cel line at the event.

Female First magazine predicts that Jay-Z will be win the fashion crown as his label is very popular in the US, not least with his other half, songstress Beyonce.

However, it adds that Bennington's line is very "unique" and may appeal to many.

Both labels will feature in an X-Catwalk during the event, which is to be held in Berlin on January 31st.

Last month, Jay-Z and Beyonce were named the highest-earning celebrity couple by Forbes magazine.

The publication claims they made some $162 million (£109 million) between them from June 2007 to June 2008, with their respective fashion lines, publishing deals and film appearances contributing to their earnings.

Other couples on the list included Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and the Beckhams.
