James Bond star Gemma Arterton took home the Best Newcomer prize at the Jameson Empire awards last night (March 29th).
The British actress, who is also the face of one of Avon's celebrity fragrances, Bond Girl 007, was chosen ahead of Twilight star Robert Pattinson, Jim Sturgess, Toby Kebell and Hayley Atwell.
"I'm completely winging this. I never prepare for anything," said Gemma, who claimed the award for her appearance in Quantum of Solace, which also won Best Thriller.
Gemma praised her fellow nominees, saying there are all "wonderful", adding: "But thank you all very much, it does mean a lot. Have a great night everyone!"
It is the second time she has been nominated for the award, having last year got a nod for her performance in St Trinan's.
Other winners included The Dark Knight, which scooped the Best Film gong, as well as Best Actor for Christian Bale and Best Director for Christopher Nolan.
Gemma launched the first ever James Bond-inspired fragrance for women in October last year, saying it embodies "intelligence, sexiness and confidence".
