Now is the time to be looking at the latest fragrances to find a light perfume for the summer, according to an expert.
Lisa Haynes, writing for MSN Life and Style, suggests that in addition to investing in fake tan products and updating beauty essentials, ladies need to look for a new scent for the warmer months.
"You wouldn't wear 120 denier opaques in the blistering heat, so why layer up your skin with a super-heavy perfume? Just like our wardrobes, it's a natural progression to switch perfumes to match the seasons," she says.
Ms Haynes recommends performing the 'lunch hour test', which involves spraying a scent onto the skin and then checking if it is still appealing after 60 minutes.
She also advises choosing the latest fragrances to match personality, so romantic types should go for light, floral scents.
Earlier this month, Janetta Mackay wrote for the New Zealand Herald that warmer, woodier scents would be among the latest fragrances trends for spring and summer.
