Ladies should not be afraid to mix gold and silver fashion accessories when going for the metallics trend this summer, according to an expert.These colours can be mixed with shoes, clutch bags or jewellery to keep the style looking modern and not overly coordinated, says Jess Wood, fashion features editor at Marie Claire magazine."People always think you shouldn't mix your metals but I think you can mix bronze and silver, I would even mix silver and gold," she comments."You could maybe do silver shoes and gold jewellery," she suggests.Ms Wood says that this trend has taken off because it is simple to achieve the look, but it feels really glamorous.She explains that to get it right with this style, women need to add a bit of glitz to a dressed down look, rather than trying to look overly groomed and "uber-rich".Both Vogue and InStyle magazines have also identified metallics as a big trend for the summer.(c) 2008 Adfero Ltd.
