Cheryl Cole has been named the most inspirational woman in a new survey.

The 25-year-old pop starlet warded off competition from JK Rowling, who polled in second place in the results from Mecca Bingo.

Lesly Hughes, a representative from the company, says: "It is interesting to see how much public opinion of Cheryl has changed."

In third position is Queen Elizabeth II, who failed to end Cheryl's reign at the top of the polls.

A survey by feelunique.com conducted earlier this month revealed that Cheryl is considered to be the celebrity with the most perfectly-applied makeup.

The X Factor judges' newest recruit ranked before Kelly Brook and Jennifer Aniston, who were also praised for their skills with the cosmetics brushes.

However, Amy Winehouse was voted the celeb with the worst-applied makeup, a decision made by 21 per cent of respondents to the poll.
