There are some celebrity looks that have really stood the test of time, particularly when it comes to hairstyles.

A-list stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Audrey Hepburn have had such style influence that thousands of women around the world have aimed to emulate their iconic dos.

MSN Style has produced a list of the most famous styles and the women that made them famous, including Jackie Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe.

Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's updo of course made the top 20, while Mrs Kennedy's sleek bob was also named.

Marilyn Monroe's "sexy, swooped curls" were also picked out by the news provider, which highlighted that this look is still emulated by modern stars like Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera.

Moving more up-to-date, Meg Ryan's short waves, Julia Roberts pre-Raphaelite curls and Jennifer Anniston's The Rachael in the 1990s were all picked out by MSN.

Meanwhile, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has revealed to US Weekly that she dyed her hair red because she was sick of being called cute.
