 | - In order to be eligible to apply for a Hello Tomorrow Fund award you must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident in the UK or an organisation established in the UK (any limited company or charity must be incorporated and registered in the UK). Applications from any organisations must be made by an authorised representative of the organisation. Applications from employees of Avon, Glamour magazine, or any agency associated with this incentive and any immediate family member of any employees of the aforementioned are not eligible for this incentive.
- Applicants must submit a completed application for a Hello Tomorrow Fund award in accordance with these terms and conditions by 21st May 2010. Applications can be made on-line. Late applications will be excluded. Only one application per individual and/or organisation. Avon does not accept any responsibility for late, lost, incomplete or illegible applications for any reason whatsoever. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
- The application must demonstrate how the Hello Tomorrow Fund award selection criteria is met and how the award will be utilised.
- The applications will be judged on the following criteria and decisions will be based on how well the written application demonstrates these criteria:
- Your deep commitment to empowering and improving the lives of women (of any age) in the UK.
- A clear and compelling case for support.
- A solid and realistic time and cost plan for spending the Hello Tomorrow Fund award and any additional funds will be raided, if needed, to achieve your application’s stated goal.
- Concrete and achievable outcomes.
- How the award will actually empower women and improve the lives of women in the UK.
- The application must demonstrate that the award will benefit individuals beyond the applicant and their immediate family members.
- The Hello Tomorrow Fund will award four awards: x2 £10,000 and x2 £5,000.
- Our selected panel of judges consisting of Karen Brady, Claudia Winkleman, Anna Segatti and Jo Elvin will shortlist 8 finalists. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The public will then vote on-line for the final four winners. In the event there is a tie on the public vote the judging panel shall decide on the winner
- The shortlisted 8 applicants will be notified by 9th June 2010 and will be featured in the August issue of Glamour (published on 15th July) and they will also be profiled on the Avon website in order to allow public to vote on-line.
- The winners will be notified by 19th August 2010 and will be announced in the November issue of Glamour (published on 7th October) and they will also be profiled on the Avon website to coincide with Glamour publication.
- The awards will be presented by the 31st November 2010 by cheques payable to the successful individual or organisation. The awards are non-transferrable and must be used for the purpose(s) specified in the winner’s application and cannot be deferred. If the award is used for a purpose other than as stated in the winner’s application they may be required to return the award in its entirety to Avon.
- In the event of any fraudulent activity the award will be forfeited and Avon reserves the right, in its complete discretion, to select a further winner to receive such forfeited award.
- Avon reserves the right to require updates and progress together with supporting information on the purposes stated in the winner’s application.
- The winners agree to participate in all promotional activity in connection with the Hello Tomorrow Funds and agree to disclosure of their names and the purposes for which they intend to use the award.
- Submission of an application form signifies acceptance and compliance of the terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. All applications will become the property of Avon Cosmetics Limited and will not be returned.
- All applicants acknowledge that, in the course of applying for a Hello Tomorrow Fund award, certain information about them will be captured, electronically or otherwise, and will be transmitted to Avon and third parties associated with the incentive. Accordingly, the applicants expressly agree to the transfer of such personal information to Avon and Avon’s third party agents associated with the Hello Tomorrow Fund and that Avon (the data controller) and any third party associated with the incentive may use, store, process and transfer that information for the purpose of the Hello Tomorrow Fund. All applicants further agree that Avon may send their personal information outside of the European Economic Area including to the United States of America, for processing for the purpose of the Hello Tomorrow Fund.
